Accessibility
Statement dated 29 July 2026. It describes heatblockingwindows.com only.
We want this site to work for everyone who needs a window quote, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard only, magnification, or a device with reduced motion turned on.
What we target
This site was built against WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is the standard we hold ourselves to.
What that meant in practice
- Every form control has a real, programmatically associated
<label>. Placeholder text is never used as a label. - The whole site is operable by keyboard alone, and the focus indicator is never removed — only restyled to a high-contrast outline.
- A skip link is the first thing in the tab order on every page.
- Form errors are announced in a live region, and focus moves to the first control that needs attention rather than leaving you to hunt for it.
- The confirmation after you submit is visible on the page and receives focus, so it is not something only sighted users find out about.
- Text colours were chosen to meet AA contrast against their actual backgrounds.
- The one diagram on the landing page carries a text alternative describing what it shows, and the explanation next to it does not depend on seeing the image.
- Animation respects
prefers-reduced-motion; with it enabled, scrolling is instant and transitions are switched off. - The page is built to reflow without a horizontal scrollbar down to a 320 px viewport and to survive text being zoomed to 200%.
What has and has not been tested
Being straight with you: this site has been built and reviewed against the standard above by its developer, including keyboard-only walkthroughs and contrast checks. It has not had an independent third-party accessibility audit, and no assistive-technology user testing has been commissioned.
We are not going to describe it as certified, audited, or fully conformant, because it has not been any of those things. If that changes, this page changes.
Known limitations
No barriers are currently known to us on this site. That is a genuine statement about a small, recently built site — not a claim that none exist. Undiscovered barriers are exactly the ones we need you to tell us about.
Tell us about a barrier
If any part of this site stops you doing what you came to do, please tell us, and please do not feel you need to describe it in technical terms — “the form wouldn’t let me past the phone box with my keyboard” is a perfect bug report.

You never have to use this website
Everything on this site can be done by phone. Call (775) 391-8487 and we will take your details, book the measurement, and read you the quote. No one is required to use a web form to get service from us.
