Effective 29 July 2026. These terms govern your use of heatblockingwindows.com. They do not govern any contract for work — that is a separate signed document.

This site is operated by Advanced Design & Development Inc, a Nevada corporation holding Nevada State Contractors Board licence #0077896A, classification B-2 (Residential and Small Commercial), trading as Heat Blocking Windows.

1. This site is not a contract

2. Submitting the form

Sending the quote form asks us to contact you. It does not create a contract, reserve a crew, or hold pricing. We may decline any enquiry, and we will tell you plainly if a job is not one we should take.

You agree that the information you give us is accurate and that the phone number you enter is one you are authorized to give us.

3. Where we work

We perform work in Reno, Sparks and Washoe County, Nevada, under the licence and local business licences held by Advanced Design & Development Inc. If your property is outside that area, ask — we will tell you honestly whether it is work we are licensed to take.

4. Performance figures

SHGC, U-Factor and any other window performance figures discussed on this site or in a quote are manufacturer ratings for a specific unit, as certified on its NFRC label. They are the manufacturer's representations, not ours.

We do not promise an energy saving, a percentage reduction, or a payback period. Actual results depend on your building, its insulation and shading, your HVAC equipment, your utility rates and how you use the house. Anyone who promises you a specific number before measuring is guessing.

5. Warranties

Windows carry the manufacturer's warranty for the line supplied, on that manufacturer's terms and running to whoever that warranty names. It is not our warranty and we cannot enlarge it.

Any workmanship warranty we offer will be stated in your signed contract. Do not rely on a warranty that is not written in that document.

6. Permits and code

Where your scope requires a permit, we identify it and pull it. General statements on this site about permits, egress or code are educational, are not specific to your property, and are not a substitute for a plan review by the authority having jurisdiction.

7. Content on this site

Text, diagrams and layout on this site belong to Advanced Design & Development Inc. You may read, print and share pages for your own non-commercial use. You may not republish or resell them.

We try to keep everything here accurate and correct errors when we find them. Educational content is provided as-is, without warranty, and is not engineering, legal or tax advice.

8. Tax matters

We are not tax advisers. The federal 25C energy-efficient home improvement credit ended for property installed after 31 December 2025. We do not advertise it, and you should confirm any credit, rebate or incentive with your own tax preparer or the administering utility before relying on it.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent Nevada law allows, our liability arising out of your use of this website is limited to the amount you paid to use it, which is nothing. This clause is about the website. It does not limit any obligation we owe you under a signed contract for work, and it does not limit anything that cannot be limited by law — including liability for fraud or for personal injury caused by negligence.

This site does not link to other websites for commercial purposes. If a link to a third party ever appears here, we are not responsible for that site's content or its privacy practices.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes about this website belong in the state or federal courts sitting in Washoe County, Nevada.

Dispute resolution for a construction contract is governed by that contract and by Nevada law, including the Nevada State Contractors Board's own complaint process, which remains available to you regardless of anything on this page.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change when we do.
